James Barker

James Barker was originally trained as a painter and sculptor, but had also tried his hand at graphic design, cinematography, and photography before moving onto metalsmithing in 1972.  His one-of-a-kind jewelry is made using ancient techniques such as sawing, filing, forging, soldering, fusing, respoussage, and chasing.

The extremely talented James Barker has since passed away, but his pieces can still be found at Whitney Abrams in Chicago, IL.
